Get a Career LIFT – March 2007 Career Building Seminars – for Durham region job seekers looking to improve their employability

February 26th, 2007; Durham, North Carolina... Durham County Library’s Project LIFT is partnering with the Avadon Group to present workshops for job hunters — and those who are looking to increase employability — every Friday in March from noon to 1:30 p.m. Free to the public, the series will empower participants by teaching them the skills they need to achieve their career goals and by awakening their courage and confidence. The classes will be in the third-floor Conference Room of the Main Library, 300 N. Roxboro St. in downtown Durham.

The series begins March 2nd with Find Your Perfect Career. It continues with Avadon Approach to Career on March 9th; Make Your Resume Talk on March 16th; Advancing Your Career on March 23rd; and Personal Selling for the 21st-Century Career Marketplace on March 30th. Project LIFT (Learning Information for Today) is part of the Reference Services of Durham County Library. Project LIFT offers educational and career information, job listings, literacy materials for tutors and students, college catalogs, financial aid forms, résumé and job-hunting consultations.
